Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing bespoke clothing is a personal investment, and it’s natural to have questions before getting started. We’ve answered some of the questions we’re most frequently asked about our services, appointments and process to help you feel informed and confident. If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, we’d be delighted to assist you personally.

About Our Services

Do You Create Fully Bespoke Suits?

Yes. Every bespoke suit is created from an individual paper pattern drafted specifically for you. Each commission includes multiple fittings to achieve the best possible fit and finish.

What Is The Difference Between Bespoke And Made-To-Measure?

Bespoke clothing is created entirely from scratch using a unique pattern developed from your measurements. Made-to-measure clothing begins with an existing pattern that is carefully adjusted to provide an excellent personalised fit while offering a shorter production time.

Learn more about both services on our Bespoke and Made-To-Measure pages.

What Types Of Clothing Do You Make?

We create bespoke and made-to-measure suits, jackets, trousers and shirts. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your requirements and recommend the most suitable option for your wardrobe and lifestyle.

Can I Personalise Every Detail Of My Suit?

Yes. You’ll be able to choose from a wide selection of fabrics, linings, buttons, lapel styles, pocket designs and other finishing details to create something that reflects your individual style.

Do You Offer Clothing Alterations?

Yes. We provide complimentary final alterations on garments we create to ensure the finished fit meets our exacting standards.

Appointments & Consultations

Do I Need To Book An Appointment?

Yes. We welcome clients by private appointment to ensure every consultation receives the time, attention and privacy it deserves. Book your appointment via our Contact Page.

What Happens During My First Consultation?

Your first consultation is an opportunity for us to understand your requirements, discuss how and where you’ll wear your clothing, take measurements where appropriate and guide you through fabric and styling options.

How Long Does A Consultation Take?

Our initial consultation is complimentary and usually takes around 30 minutes. If you decide to proceed with a commission, we’ll allow up to one hour to take your measurements, discuss your preferences and help you select the most suitable fabric and design details.

Can I Bring Inspiration Or Reference Images?

Yes. We encourage clients to bring photographs, ideas or examples that help communicate their preferences. This allows us to better understand the look you’re hoping to achieve.

The Bespoke Process

How Long Does It Take To Make A Bespoke Suit?

Typically, the process takes between six and eight weeks, allowing time for consultations, fabric selection and multiple fittings to achieve a precise result.

How Many Fittings Will I Need?

Most bespoke commissions involve several fittings to refine the fit and balance of the garment. The exact number will depend on the style and individual requirements.

Where Do Your Fabrics Come From?

We source fabrics from some of the world’s most respected cloth merchants, including Holland & Sherry, Scabal and Dugdale Bros, offering an extensive range of weights, textures and finishes.

Can You Advise Me On Fabric Selection?

Yes. We’ll guide you through the available cloths and help you choose fabrics suited to your intended use, personal style and the seasons in which your clothing will be worn.
