True bespoke tailoring is more than a suit, it’s a garment created entirely around you. Every measurement, every detail, every seam is crafted to reflect your body, posture and personal style.
When you commission a bespoke suit from Klaidi Hanna & Co, we don’t simply adjust a pre-existing pattern — we create a unique pattern from scratch, drafted specifically for your body. This pattern takes into account every nuance: your shoulder slope, posture, natural stance, even minor asymmetries.
Because each piece is built uniquely for you, bespoke offers the ultimate in fit, comfort and individuality — something no ready-to-wear or off-the-peg garment can match.
House Principles
Drafted by hand from twenty-eight measurements. Yours alone — kept in the studio and refined with each subsequent commission.
Hand-padded horsehair canvas through chest and lapel — the structural soul of a properly made coat. Never fused, never compromised.
Each commission represents some sixty to eighty hours of skilled hand-work between coat maker, trouser maker and waistcoat maker.
Designed, drafted, cut and made entirely on the premises at Hanover Square. Nothing is sent out; nothing is rushed.
A first suit takes around twelve to sixteen weeks. Once your pattern is on file, future garments are quicker — and often only need a single fitting.
Your bespoke journey begins with a personal consultation. We talk through how and where you’ll wear the garment, helping us guide you toward the most suitable cloths, linings and styling options. This meeting can take place in our Hanover Square studio or at a location convenient for you. We then take a full set of precise measurements, posture notes and figuration details to understand your natural shape. This gives us the foundation needed to create your personal bespoke pattern.
Using all the information gathered during your first appointment, we create a unique hand-drafted paper pattern made exclusively for you.
Once your pattern is ready, we place each piece onto the cloth you have chosen and gently mark it out with chalk. Taking our time, we cut every section by hand using traditional tailoring shears. It is a slow and careful process that ensures your garment begins exactly the way it should. We then gather everything needed to bring your suit to life: the canvas, the lining, the trims and all the small details that make a difference. These pieces are put together into what we call a bundle, ready for our makers to begin shaping your first baste fitting.
During the baste fitting, you try on the early stage of your garment. This step allows us to analyse the fit, balance and overall structure based on the original measurements. Sara marks and records every adjustment directly on the garment. After the fitting, it is taken apart and laid flat again. Your paper pattern is updated to reflect any changes, ensuring precision as we move forward.
After your first fitting, your garment moves back into our workshop where the real shaping begins. Our team starts to build the structure of the suit, sewing the canvas, lining and inner details by hand.
At this stage, you try on the garment again, and it is much closer to how the finished piece will look and feel. We take our time to see how you move in it, checking the shape, the balance and the overall comfort. This is also a chance for you to tell us how it feels so we can make sure everything is just right for you.
Your bespoke garment is now complete and ready for you to take home or have delivered. It has been shaped, fitted and finished with great care to reflect your body, your style and the way you like to feel in your clothes. We keep your personal paper pattern safely in our workshop so it can be used for future pieces or adapted as your wardrobe grows. And from this point on, you are not just a client. You are part of the Klaidi Hanna and Co family.
The Bespoke Process
Every cloth in the studio comes from one of three houses: Holland & Sherry, Scabal and Dugdale Bros. Between them they cover the worsteds, flannels, tropicals, tweeds, cashmere blends and dinner cloths we use day to day. Bunches are brought out at consultation; you handle the cloth before anything is ordered.
